About
Andrew Grosz, C.A.
Today, Andrew, through
his association with tax lawyers, specializes in accounting and tax
compliance services for
voluntary disclosures.
Andrew attended McGill University. He was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1974 and
wrote his UFE (Uniform Final Examinations) in 1976, where he ranked in
the top 10 percentile in the tax area. In 1977, he was admitted to the
Quebec Order and Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants.
To maintain his
edge, Andrew not only attends annual tax update courses, but he also takes
special tax courses, such as "Income Splitting", "CRA Tax Litigation",
"Tax Decisions with Long-Term Implications" and
other specific tax courses to make sure that his clients get the best
advice possible.
Andrew was audit
manager of a local firm of chartered accountants. His responsibilities
included developing audit methods, technical research and quality control. His professional
interests were management consulting, taxation and forensic accounting. To
further his interests, he moved to Toronto to join the consulting division
of an international firm of chartered accountants and management
consultants.
Andrew has successfully
completed a number of assignments in the determination of contract
compliance, valuation, the investigation of fraud, bankruptcy and
litigation support. To further his
interests, independence and experience, he started his own accounting and
consulting practice and offered core taxation, negotiations and consulting
services to both clients and other accounting firms.
During the years,
Andrew has negotiated exclusive international contracts, involving the
importation of signage products. He took over the business, which was
highlighted by the design, manufacturing, sale and distribution of a sign
system, for Canada Post Corporation, to over 7,000 locations across Canada.
Andrew has also
lectured in financial and management accounting, taxation and the use of
computers.
